Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, alongside Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, inaugurated the Tehkhand Automated Testing Station on 3 September 2026, a facility designed to conduct fitness checks for approximately 72,000 vehicles each year.
The Tehkhand Automated Testing Station is equipped to handle fitness assessments for around 72,000 vehicles annually, aiming to streamline roadworthiness checks and reduce manual bottlenecks in Delhi's transport certification process.
Alongside the station's inauguration, 50 new electric buses were dedicated to Delhi commuters and the Delhi-Rewari interstate e-bus service was formally launched on 3 September 2026, expanding zero-emission public transport connectivity between Delhi and Haryana.
Two new public EV charging stations were inaugurated at the Hasanpur and Ghazipur bus depots in Delhi on 3 September 2026, part of the city administration's broader push to build out electric vehicle infrastructure across the capital.
