The birth anniversary celebrations of Veerangana Maharani Rani Durgavati are proposed to be held in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh in October 2026, with President Droupadi Murmu invited as the chief guest for the occasion.

As Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Savitri Thakur personally delivered the invitation to President Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, underscoring the cultural and historical significance of Rani Durgavati's legacy.

Veerangana Maharani Rani Durgavati is revered as a warrior queen of the Gondwana region in present-day Madhya Pradesh, celebrated for her courage and resistance — and now honoured with an official birth anniversary event in Dhar in October 2026.
