INS Tarkash reaches Port Victoria on 12 June 2026

INS Tarkash, an Indian Navy stealth frigate, arrived at Port Victoria, Seychelles, on 12 June 2026 as part of its operational deployment to the South West Indian Ocean Region, underscoring growing India-Seychelles maritime ties.

INS Tarkash escorted Seychelles Coast Guard vessel PS Zoroaster from India back to Seychelles after the ship completed a refit at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, reflecting bilateral defence cooperation.

The joint transit of INS Tarkash and PS Zoroaster across the Indian Ocean is seen as a demonstration of maritime interoperability between India and Seychelles, two key partners in Indian Ocean Region security.
