Scindia, Brazil minister ink ICT MoU in Pune

Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Brazilian Communications Minister Frederico Siqueira signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) cooperation on the sidelines of the 12th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting in Pune on 21 August 2026.

On the sidelines of the 12th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting in Pune, India and Brazil formalised bilateral cooperation on digital connectivity, cybersecurity, and Digital Public Infrastructure through the newly signed ICT MoU on 21 August 2026.

The India-Brazil ICT MoU, signed in Pune on 21 August 2026, reportedly covers key pillars including digital connectivity, cybersecurity, and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) — areas where both nations have pursued independent but complementary technology frameworks.

The ICT MoU between India and Brazil, inked at the BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting in Pune, underscores India's digital diplomacy priorities during its BRICS Chairship in 2026, with Jyotiraditya Scindia representing the Centre as Union Minister for Communications.
