Chhapra-Delhi & Mau-Delhi Express inaugurated in Bihar

Alongside the new express trains, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the extension of the Dohri Ghat-Aunrihar rail service up to Varanasi, boosting connectivity between Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh on 19 June 2026.
Saran district in Bihar hosted a simultaneous launch of three rail initiatives on 19 June 2026: the Chhapra-Delhi Express, the Mau-Delhi Express, and the extended Dohri Ghat-Aunrihar–Varanasi service, presided over by CM Samrat Choudhary and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
