Ludhiana, May 20 (NationPress) The president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Sukhbir Singh Badal, expressed his appreciation on Tuesday for the armed forces after they successfully countered drone attacks from Pakistan, ensuring the safety of Punjab.

"Previously, I have also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Army for their unwavering defense against these drone threats in Punjab. This steadfast protection has shielded Punjab from devastation, as the state faced numerous drone incursions," Badal stated to the media.

He accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of orchestrating a multi-crore scam to unlawfully "exploit" landowners by permitting backdated Change of Land Use (CLU) to exempt land from acquisition in nearby villages.

According to Badal, "While the government struggles to provide even basic services, it has chosen to acquire 24,311 acres in villages near Ludhiana. Once land acquisition notices are issued, landowners will be unable to sell their properties, leading to a scam to exempt all who contribute Rs 1 crore per acre to AAP's funds."

Badal added, "This fraudulent activity is also happening in other cities like Mohali, where the AAP government has issued acquisition notices despite failing to develop 6,000 acres of previously acquired land," he stated.

He asserted, "This type of incident has never occurred in the state's history. We will not permit this blatant robbery to succeed under any circumstances. No land will be taken without the farmers' agreement."

He announced that the party plans to organize a protest outside the Chief Administrator's office of GLADA on May 31.

Badal also cautioned officials against becoming complicit in this scam, warning, "Due action will be taken against you if you follow illegal commands in this matter."

He elaborated on how Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had "surrendered" his powers, allowing AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain to "dominate" governance in Punjab.

He stated that this "total surrender" has enabled the AAP leadership from Delhi to "plunder" Punjab resources. He also highlighted the recent appointments of outsiders and members of Kejriwal’s team as chairpersons of the Punjab Pollution Control Board and the Punjab Large Investment Development Board as an attempt to "extort" funds from local businesses.
