Mumbai, July 1 (NationPress) Actor Anant Joshi is set to portray Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, in his upcoming biopic titled "Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi".
In a display of dedication to his role, Joshi has decided to shave his head, bringing him closer to the CM's distinct look.
Reflecting on this choice, Joshi shared that it was a challenging decision for him, as he has a deep emotional connection to his hair.
"Losing it wasn’t merely a physical alteration — it represented a part of my identity that I had to relinquish," he expressed.
He emphasized that this transformation was necessary for him to truly embody the spirit of CM Yogi.
"This character required that level of commitment. I realized I couldn’t merely pretend; I had to fully embrace the role of Yogi," he stated.
Directed by Ravindra Gautam, "Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi" draws inspiration from Shantanu Gupta’s popular book, "The Monk Who Became Chief Minister".
The film chronicles Yogi Adityanath’s evolution from a humble boy, Ajay Singh Bisht, hailing from Uttarakhand, to becoming one of the most powerful political figures in India.
