Andhra CM Chandrababu Ensures Social Security Pensions for Eligible Citizens

Amaravati, Dec 12 (NationPress) - Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu instructed district collectors on Thursday to ensure that every eligible individual receives social security pensions, while those deemed ineligible should be excluded from the current beneficiaries list.
During the second and final day of the collectors' conference, the Chief Minister stressed the necessity of conducting physical verifications using both technical and hybrid systems to effectively remove ineligible individuals from the beneficiary list.
Chandrababu Naidu also emphasized that irregularities in issuing certificates to individuals with disabilities must be completely eradicated.
The Chief Minister urged district collectors to verify whether the doctors providing Sadaram certificates are strictly adhering to the Medical Board's guidelines, warning that any doctor found breaching these protocols should face appropriate consequences.
Highlighting the significance of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme for enhancing basic facilities in rural regions, the Chief Minister instructed the collectors to utilize the scheme's funds efficiently to establish essential infrastructure in villages.
If projects are executed for 100 days, funds will be allocated for material components, thus enabling quicker completion of works, he noted.
Chandrababu announced that a total of Rs 2,000 crore has already been disbursed through the 15th Finance Commission for gram panchayats, with an additional Rs 1,100 crore set to be released soon.
According to the Chief Minister, approximately 80,000 km of rural roads are already in place, and he urged collectors to work on interlinking key panchayat roads.
Expressing contentment with the development of internal roads in rural areas, the Chief Minister asserted that it is the responsibility of the panchayats to ensure the provision of basic amenities such as CC (cement concrete) roads, drains, street lights, drinking water, and toilets.
He criticized the previous government's handling of the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, claiming that the TDP-led NDA government has successfully revitalized these initiatives.
Chandrababu Naidu instructed the collectors to take measures to elevate all DWCRA women to the status of entrepreneurs, moving beyond mere savings, bank loans, and small businesses.
He concluded by stating that steps should now be taken to empower these women as entrepreneurs.
