Vijayawada, March 19 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, emphasized on Thursday that the primary goal of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led coalition government is to ensure financial, social, and health security for every resident in the state.
Speaking at Ugadi festivities, the Chief Minister highlighted that the government has initiated numerous schemes over the past 21 months to fulfill this vision.
Detailing the welfare initiatives, Chief Minister Naidu mentioned the 'Talli ki Vandanam' scheme, which offers financial support to mothers, irrespective of their number of children.
Additionally, 'Annadata Sukhibhava' provides farmers with an annual financial aid of Rs 20,000 each.
The 'Stree Shakti' initiative facilitates free bus travel for women through the state’s regional transport corporation, with women having made 56 crore journeys so far.
Moreover, under the 'Divyang Shakti' program, individuals with disabilities can also avail of free bus travel.
"We are providing a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000 to temple priests (Archakas), and honorariums to Imams and Muezzins. Our aim is to ensure that everyone in society experiences happiness," added the Chief Minister.
He also discussed the 'P4' initiative, designed to improve the living conditions of the economically disadvantaged.
"This program encourages the wealthiest 10% of society to assist and uplift the bottom 20%," he stated.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Naidu announced plans for various initiatives under a comprehensive Population Management Policy to stimulate population growth.
He mentioned that the government is considering strategies to revive the traditional joint family system.
In pursuit of comprehensive development, the state government is working on regional economic corridors in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Amaravati.
He noted that development plans will be categorized into short, medium, and long-term strategies.
The government also aims to establish a robust logistics ecosystem by integrating ports, airports, roadways, and railway lines.
Chief Minister Naidu reaffirmed that the Polavaram project is on track for completion and will be dedicated to the nation before the Godavari Pushkarams.
As a result, water will flow naturally to the Krishna Delta and Visakhapatnam, making the entire state fertile and prosperous.
While expressing gratitude to the Central government for funding the Polavaram project, he noted that an additional Rs 5,000 crore is still needed.
State Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Kandula Durgesh, along with MLAs Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Gadde Rammohan, MLC Panchumarthi Anuradha, and other officials attended the event.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu explained that 'Ugadi Pachadi' symbolizes our lives, as it is a mixture of various flavors—sour, sweet, astringent, bitter, and spicy.
"Just like the joys and sorrows, the highs and lows of life, these diverse tastes are intertwined and inseparable," he concluded.
