Mumbai, Nov 21 (NationPress) The Punjabi music sensation AP Dhillon has released an exciting new track titled “Hitman”, featuring Shinda Kahlon. In this latest release, he aims to explore a more authentic hip hop vibe.
This track follows the success of his recent collaboration, ‘Thodi Si Daru’, with Shreya Ghoshal, which highlighted a more gentle and melodic aspect of Dhillon's artistry.
On reflecting about his new song, Dhillon shared, “HITMEN represents my playful side with a fresh energy. Shinda and I set out to capture a raw hip hop essence that remains true to my musical identity.”
In September, Dhillon also revealed plans for his India Tour ‘One of One’, emphasizing that India is and will always be the core of his inspiration and artistic expression.
This upcoming tour marks his third visit to India, slated to commence in December 2025, covering major cities including Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Jaipur.
Speaking about the tour at the time, Dhillon expressed, “India is the heart of my inspiration and creative work. The relentless support and passion from my Indian fans is incredibly motivating, and I am thrilled to set out on this tour.”
“I eagerly anticipate reconnecting with new audiences and crafting unforgettable memories together.”
Beginning his musical journey in 2019 with the track “Fake”, alongside Shinda Kahlon under their independent label Run-Up Records, Dhillon quickly gained recognition. He later appeared in the video for “Faraar” by Gurinder Gill and Shinda Kahlon, where he was credited as a producer.
His single “Deadly”, produced by Gminxr, made waves by entering the UK Asian chart, reaching a peak of number 11 in 2020, while also breaking into the top 5 of the UK Punjabi chart.
The collaboration “Droptop” with Gurinder Gill followed, and in 2020, he and Gill featured in “Excuses” by Intense, which soared to number 3 on the UK Asian chart and topped the UK Punjabi chart.
His widely recognized track “Brown Munde”, featuring Gurinder Gill, Gminxr, Shinda Kahlon, Nav, Sidhu Moose Wala, Money Musik, Anmol Dalwani, and Steel Banglez, became a global hit, catapulting him into fame.
In 2021, AP Dhillon and his team performed their first live concert as part of the “Over The Top – The Takeover Tour”, which spanned six major cities in India. Notably, he became the first Punjabi artist to perform at the 2023 Juno Awards in Edmonton, Canada, with his hit song “Summer High”.
