Following instructions from the ACB Headquarters, the Sikar unit executed a trap operation, apprehending the Additional Secretary in the act of accepting the bribe from a complainant.
The bribe was reportedly solicited in return for issuing licenses for four shops registered under the names of the complainant’s family members.
As per DGP (ACB) Govind Gupta, a complaint had previously been lodged that the Additional Secretary was demanding ₹80,000 to facilitate the processing of the shop licenses.
The complainant indicated that he was subjected to repeated harassment regarding the payment.
These claims were substantiated during a preliminary inquiry conducted by the ACB.
Subsequent to this verification, a trap was established under the oversight of DIG Anil Kayal (ACB, Jaipur) and directed by Additional SP Vijay Kumar (ACB, Sikar Unit).
The operation was spearheaded by Inspector Subhash Meel, alongside a committed team. During the mission, the accused was caught red-handed while receiving ₹40,000 from the complainant, resulting in his prompt arrest.

Officials are exploring the likelihood of a broader network or similar case involvement. The inquiry and interrogations are being managed under the supervision of senior officials, including ADGP Smita Srivastava and IG S. Parimala.
The ACB has reiterated its dedication to combating corruption and encourages citizens to report such occurrences to foster transparency and accountability in public services.
