Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 15 (NationPress) The acclaimed television figure, Arjun Bijlani, has voiced his opinion on a recent remark by fellow actor Karan Patel regarding social media influencers transitioning into acting.
The star of 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' proposed that influencers may not inherently excel as actors.
During an exclusive discussion with IANS, the 'Naagin' star acknowledged that everyone is entitled to their perspectives.
Nonetheless, Arjun highlighted that individuals within the industry aim for meaningful work. He pointed out that while some are fortunate enough to receive opportunities in film and television, others may face challenges.
The 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' actor further noted that many social media influencers possess talent and have achieved success in their own arenas.
"Everyone should concentrate on diligent work, earning with integrity, and supporting their families," Arjun remarked.
He also underscored the significance of fairness, advocating for equal respect for all as the future remains uncertain.
Recall that during an episode of the reality show, "The 50," Karan, along with co-contestants Prince Narula and Ridhi Dogra, took a jab at YouTubers and influencers, accusing them of harming the industry.
They further asserted that the path has been significantly easier for these social media influencers.
As Prince pointed out, influencers have diminished the value of those who genuinely belong to the industry, and Karan chimed in, saying, "Gadhe ghodon ki race main dauda diye (It’s like making donkeys run in a horse race)."
Karan reminisced about their beginnings, stating that they lacked the numerous avenues available today to gain fame.
"We worked tirelessly to reach our current positions. For them, it’s a breeze. In our time, we didn’t have smartphones to record videos, upload them, and become celebrities instantly," he expressed.
