The Bangladeshi individual has been named Maruf Ali, hailing from the Chapainawabganj region of Bangladesh. The broker, identified as Ansar Ali, resides in the Ramnagar locality under the Lalgola police station in Murshidabad.

Authorities at the Raninagar police station were tipped off about a potential smuggling operation occurring in the border area. Responding promptly, officers executed a raid in the Katlamari gram panchayat at dawn.

During the operation, both individuals were taken into custody. Interrogations revealed that one participant is from Bangladesh while the other is Indian.

According to police reports, the Bangladeshi was reportedly receiving assistance from the Indian broker living near the international border. The duo is set to appear in court today, where law enforcement will seek custody for further investigation.
