Battleground Season 2 crowned its champions on 26 May as Divyanshu from Khesari Lal's Bhojpuri Bhaukaals and Gunjan from Abhishek Malhan's Delhi Dominators lifted the trophies in an emotion-charged grand finale. Each winner takes home a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, capping a season that delivered back-to-back glory for the Delhi Dominators franchise.

The Winning Moments

In the female category, the final two were Gunjan and Muskaan, representing Delhi Dominators and Telugu Tigers respectively. On the male side, Divyanshu and Shiva — both from Bhojpuri Bhaukaals and Delhi Dominators — battled it out for the top spot. Divyanshu's victory gave Bhojpuri Bhaukaals the male title, while Gunjan's win handed Delhi Dominators a historic back-to-back championship.

What the Mentors Said

Mentor Khesari Lal, whose team produced the male champion, said Divyanshu 'stepped into this house as a fighter and left as a champion.' He added: 'And that is exactly what Bhojpuri Bhaukaals stands for. We came here to give it everything we had, and today that belief has paid off. This win belongs to everyone who keeps betting on themselves despite the odds.'

Defending champion mentor Abhishek Malhan, known online as Fukra Insaan, reflected on the unique pressure of defending a title. 'Defending a title is always tougher than winning one. The pressure this season was completely different because every team wanted to beat us,' he said. He praised Gunjan's 'unbelievable consistency and heart,' adding: 'Back-to-back wins come from discipline, strategy, and never backing down. I couldn't be prouder.'

Champions Speak

A visibly emotional Divyanshu described the journey as transformative. 'Every challenge tested me physically and mentally, but I kept choosing to stay in the fight. Today, that journey has turned into a victory I'll never forget. More than winning the competition, I discovered who I really am,' he said.

Gunjan dedicated her win to her support system. 'This trophy belongs to every person who stood by me through the highs and lows — my family, my team, and every fan who kept believing in me. Fukra Sir built a team of fighters, and I hope I made him proud today,' she said.

Finale Night Highlights

The grand finale, helmed by superselector Shikhar Dhawan, featured a special appearance by the cast of the series Lukkhe, including King, Palak Tiwari, and Shivankit Singh Parihar. King delivered a power-packed stage performance alongside the cast, with mentor Priyanka Chahar Choudhary of Mumbai Strikers joining them and amplifying the energy. The night also saw an energetic Bhojpuri-style dance set featuring King and Khesari Lal, with Palak Tiwari joining in to bring the arena to a fever pitch.

Emotions ran high when Priyanka Chahar Choudhary broke down after calling out mentors and players for reportedly not cheering for contestant Rekha during a finale task, in what was described as one of the season's most unfiltered moments.
