Chennai, March 30 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a U/A certificate for the much-anticipated investigative thriller, 'Kaalidas 2', directed by Sri Senthil and starring Bharath in the lead role.

The film's production team shared an official poster on their social media, announcing this exciting news. The post stated, "#Kaalidas2 - U/A Certified. Prepare for an exhilarating cinema experience. April 3 Release!"

Previously, the first look of Kishore as Pandya in the film was also unveiled.

In their social media update, the film team noted, "#Kaalidas2 Kishore as Pandya. A menacing and relentless character. Experience the intensity in every glance. Raw, rugged, and unpredictable. A mystery to unravel in just 7 Days!"

For those unfamiliar, this film is the second chapter in the hit series 'Kaalidas', produced by Five Star K. Senthil and Dr. N. Yogeshwaran.

Written and helmed by Sri Senthil, who also directed the first installment, 'Kaalidas 2' stars Ajay Karthi alongside Bharath.

The cast will also include notable actors such as Bhavani Sre, Sangita, Abarnathi, Ananth Nag, TM Karthik, and 'Singam' Jayavel.

Excitement among fans and cinephiles is palpable for several reasons. To begin with, this film is a sequel to the blockbuster 'Kaalidas'. Furthermore, it marks the much-anticipated return of actress Sangita to the silver screen after a considerable hiatus.

A teaser released a few months ago commences with Bharath, portraying a police officer, receiving a distress call from a frightened woman. She tearfully expresses her fear and implores him for assistance.

The teaser features a voice-over stating, "Can every sin here be forgiven? However, within these walls, there exists a penalty for every crime. According to the law, there is a consequence. Yet, for some offenses, the retribution is not imposed by external entities." The teaser indicates that alongside Bharath, Bhavani Sre also portrays a cop. The film carries the tagline 'Monster Hunt'.

Sources from the film's production indicate that this sequel will delve deeper into the realms of mystery and danger, exploring the intricate dynamics of crime and justice.

On the technical side, the film features music by Sam CS and cinematography by Suresh Bala. Editing is managed by Bhuvan Srinivasan, while G Durairaj takes charge of production design.

The screenplay is crafted by Aravindan Anand, with art direction led by 'Kaliyuga' A. Raja. The choreography for the film's dance sequences is handled by Bobby, while stunts are choreographed by Om Prakash.

Tapas Nayak serves as the audiographer, and the lyrics for the songs are written by Mohanraj. Costumes have been designed by Dorothy Jai (DJ).
