New Delhi, July 26 (NationPress) A significant clash of words has unfolded between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress as the political atmosphere intensifies ahead of crucial elections. BJP MLA Ram Kadam has taken aim at Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi, branding his remarks as "whining before defeat."
“This persistent whining by Rahul Gandhi is merely a preemptive strategy to set the stage for the overwhelming defeat he is destined to face in Bihar,” Kadam stated, alluding to Gandhi's recent comments questioning the Election Commission's impartiality.
In response to Congress's outreach to the OBC community, Kadam remarked, "Now Rahul Gandhi speaks about OBCs, but for which community has he truly made an effort? He has discredited the nation by siding with supporters of Pakistan and tarnishing India's image abroad."
Kadam also highlighted that: "The Prime Minister of our nation, Narendra Modi, hails from the OBC community, and the core principle of the BJP is - 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'."
“The public is well aware of this pattern. When Congress secures victories in states like Telangana, Karnataka, or Rajasthan, everything seems fine to him, with no complaints or issues. Yet, upon facing defeat, the Election Commission is suddenly called into question,” he added.
This sharp critique from the BJP follows LoP Rahul Gandhi's speech at the Congress’s ‘Bhagidari Nyay Sammelan,’ an initiative aimed at garnering support among the Other Backward Classes (OBCs). The event, held at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on Friday, witnessed a considerable turnout of OBC leaders and party supporters.
During his address, LoP Rahul Gandhi candidly admitted, “I have always understood the struggles of Dalits and Adivasis, but I now recognize that I haven’t fully grasped the issues affecting the OBCs. That is my failing,” acknowledging gaps in his previous understanding.
He characterized the OBC community as the “driving force of the nation.”
Meanwhile, the BJP also condemned the Congress’s outreach efforts towards the OBCs, labeling them as insincere. In retaliation, Congress leader Imran Pratapgarhi fiercely accused the BJP of hypocrisy and deceit.
“The BJP is a hub of falsehood. There’s a saying that the thief scolds the policeman. Narendra Modi began his political journey with lies. Do you remember the promise of 15 lakh? Later, Modi ji claimed it was merely a jumla (rhetoric). What greater falsehood could exist before the nation?” Pratapgarhi asserted.
