New Delhi, Feb 28 (NationPress) Congress spokesperson Abhay Dubey asserted on Friday that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, which is being tabled in the Assembly regarding 'Public Health Infrastructure and Management of Health Services' in Delhi, will expose significant levels of corruption within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
The report, presented by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in the Assembly, is expected to uncover discrepancies, especially concerning the construction of three new hospitals.
In an interview with IANS, Dubey remarked, “Previously, the Sarin Committee report had already pointed out critical issues regarding the infrastructure and medical services in Delhi hospitals. Now, the findings of the CAG, which focus on the construction of these three hospitals, are set to reveal serious corruption. This comes in the wake of the enormous Rs 2,000 crore scam linked to the liquor policy. These issues serve as evidence of the AAP's involvement in extensive corruption, which is why the residents of Delhi turned away from them in the recent Assembly elections.”
Dubey emphasized the importance of these findings, asserting that the report will bolster claims that the AAP government has faltered in terms of transparency and governance.
He also suggested that such revelations might explain the growing dissatisfaction among the populace, contributing to AAP’s lackluster performance at the polls.
Additionally, Dubey commented on the rising tensions in the border district of Belagavi, where a language dispute between Karnataka and Maharashtra has led to bus services being suspended between the two states. He called on the central government to intervene, advocating for peaceful relations between the states.
“The central government, especially Home Minister Amit Shah, should step in and mediate between the leadership of both states to resolve the matter amicably,” he stated.
Dubey also reacted to recent remarks made by Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, who announced that the BJP would contest upcoming elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Dubey speculated that further developments regarding the BJP’s reliance on coalition partners would soon be revealed.
“The BJP often depends on other parties for electoral support. If they run independently, it will reveal their true standing,” he said.
Dubey noted Jaiswal’s resignation from the Nitish Kumar Cabinet on Wednesday, ahead of the planned expansion on Thursday, which followed the BJP’s policy of 'one person, one post', leading Jaiswal to give up his role as Revenue and Land Reform Minister.
