New Delhi, April 2 (NationPress) Devotees nationwide observed Hanuman Jayanti with immense devotion and enthusiasm on Thursday, engaging in prayers at various temples and participating in unique rituals to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman.

In Delhi, a significant number of worshippers converged at the Pracheen Hanuman Temple located in Connaught Place to pay their respects. Long lines formed outside the temple from early morning, with officials ensuring efficient crowd management. A long-time visitor expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, noting the orderly queue system and satisfactory facilities.

In Madhya Pradesh, vibrant celebrations took place across multiple cities. In Dewas, a vast crowd participated in a grand aarti at the well-known Hanuman Temple. Similarly, Ujjain conducted special rituals such as the Bhasma Aarti and Panchamrit Abhishek at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, attracting many devotees.

Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj was abuzz with elaborate festivities at the esteemed Bade Hanuman Ji Temple. Celebrations here included a grand Mahabhishek, Mangala Aarti, floral adornments, and recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa. Mahant Balveer Gir Maharaj informed that the festivities commenced early in the morning with the Maha Abhishek of Lord Hanuman at 2 a.m., celebrated with great joy on the full moon day of the Chaitra month.

In Ayodhya, heavy crowds were observed at the Hanuman Garhi Temple, where pilgrims from all over the country gathered for prayers. A devotee from Assam, visiting for the first time, expressed his contentment with the arrangements, stating he felt spiritually fulfilled after his prayers.

In Maharashtra's Vasai-Virar area, numerous devotees congregated at the Riddhi Siddhi Hanuman Temple to honor the occasion. Comparable scenes unfolded in Patna, Bihar, where worshippers flocked to the Hanuman temple in Rajvanshi Nagar to seek blessings.

Hanuman Jayanti, also referred to as Hanuman Janmotsav, is among the most significant festivals in Hinduism, celebrated on the Purnima tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra, which fell on April 2 this year. The festival marks the birth of Lord Hanuman, who is revered as a symbol of strength, devotion, courage, and selfless service.

According to Hindu tradition, Lord Hanuman, known as Pawan Putra, was born to Mata Anjani and Kesari during the Treta Yuga. He is regarded as one of the Chiranjeevis, or immortals, and holds significant religious and spiritual importance among devotees throughout the country.
