Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav 2026, marking the state's Foundation Day, is set to be held from 1 to 3 November 2026 at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Industry and Trade Complex (Fair Ground) in Village Tuta, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Preparations are now firmly underway following a state-level review meeting held on Tuesday, 29 September at Mantralaya Bhawan, Raipur.

Review Meeting and Key Directives

Chief Secretary Vikassheel chaired the high-level coordination meeting, which assessed arrangements for both the Rajyotsav and the accompanying State Investiture Ceremony. He directed all departments to complete preparations within the stipulated timeline and submit department-wise arrangement details and proposed exhibition plans by 22 October 2026.

The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of giving the celebrations a central theme-based format, with themes including Ease of Doing Business, Human Capital Development, Developed India, and Anjor Chhattisgarh. Departments were also asked to highlight the state's future direction, development initiatives, and key achievements over the past year.

Venue, Departments, and Responsibilities

The Culture Department has been designated as the nodal agency for the entire three-day event. Specific responsibilities have been assigned across multiple government bodies to ensure smooth execution. CSIDC, NRDA, and the Public Works Department will handle site layout, stall allocation, the development exhibition, the main stage, dome, pandal, seating arrangements, and barricading.

The Public Relations Department and CHIPS will manage publicity and the hi-tech media centre. Raipur Municipal Corporation and NRDA will be responsible for civic amenities, city bus services, drinking water supply, and sanitation facilities across the venue.

Security, Health, and Logistics

The district administration and police department will oversee security arrangements, traffic management, parking, and fire-fighting services. The Health Department will deploy medical facilities and ambulances, while the Energy Department will ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the event.

Awards and Cultural Showcase

During the three-day celebrations, various government departments will present 40 state-level decorations and awards as part of the State Investiture Ceremony. Officials have been asked to complete the award selection process according to the prescribed schedule well before the event begins.

This year's Rajyotsav is expected to be a significant showcase of Chhattisgarh's cultural heritage and developmental progress, with the themed format lending greater focus and visibility to the state's governance milestones. All departments have been put on notice to deliver coordinated, timely preparations ahead of the 1 November start date.
