New Delhi, June 15 (NationPress) BJP MP Nishikant Dubey strongly criticized the Congress party on Sunday for its condemnation of the Centre regarding the invitation extended to Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir for the American military parade. He asserted that Congress is acting as a ‘spokesperson’ for the neighboring nation.
Dubey accused Congress of echoing the sentiments of Pakistan, an adversarial country, stating that their actions stem from specific political motives.
In a conversation with IANS, he highlighted that Congress leaders, including Jairam Ramesh, have made a significant fuss over the US government's invitation to the Pakistani Army Chief for the military parade scheduled for June 14, labeling it an ‘utter failure’ of India's foreign policy.
“However, today, the US has denied sending any such invitation. It seems that misleading the public on matters of national importance has become a routine for the Congress party. They are effectively acting as Pakistan's spokespersons,” he alleged.
He further stated that the Congress party, driven by its deep-seated animosity towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is damaging the nation with its antics, with party spokespersons appearing to support Pakistani propaganda over the national interest.
“Politics that benefits our enemies must cease. As the principal Opposition party, Congress should recognize its responsibilities and adjust its approach,” he emphasized.
Refuting accusations that the Modi government politicizes military actions for electoral advantages, he asserted that the BJP practices the politics of nationalism and patriotism, in stark contrast to Congress's culture of appeasement and vote-bank strategies.
Dubey accused Congress of courting a particular religious community with its repeated commendations for Pakistan and endorsement of its deceptive narratives.
He reminded that the BJP has consistently opposed Pakistan and acts of terrorism.
“The nation suffered immensely from numerous terror attacks during the UPA regimes, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks that resulted in over 175 fatalities, and again in 2011, with more than 25 lives lost. The Congress government’s feeble response allowed Pakistan to grow bolder in perpetuating terror on our soil,” the BJP MP stated.
He concluded by urging Congress to reflect on its own ‘blemished’ history rather than questioning the BJP's priority of placing the nation first.
