New Delhi, Nov 29 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a pointed critique of the Congress on Saturday, emphasizing that the party is "destined for decline" as long as it remains under the sway of the Gandhi family.
In light of the growing internal conflicts within the Congress in Karnataka and Bihar, Singh suggested that the party was grappling with a significant leadership crisis, lacking in both discipline and direction.
Speaking to IANS, Singh stated, "With the current leadership structure and the influence of the Gandhi family, Congress is set to continue its downward trajectory."
Pointing to an organizational crisis, he remarked, "In Bihar, there are threats exchanged among their ranks, and in Karnataka, the tussle over the chief minister's position signifies a deeper discord within Congress. This clearly indicates a more pronounced decline ahead. The Congress will never be able to shed the hold of the Gandhi family."
His comments come at a time of renewed tension between Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy D.K. Shivakumar, a longstanding issue that has resurfaced since the party regained power in the state. Recently, a flashpoint arose after Shivakumar allegedly shared a cryptic social media post, "word power is world power," which many interpreted as a hint regarding the power-sharing agreement between the two leaders. However, Shivakumar has denied posting that message.
Meanwhile, the BJP has capitalized on this situation, criticizing Siddaramaiah while suggesting that Shivakumar might be expressing his dissatisfaction. The party has accused Congress of failing to maintain unity, even in a state where it enjoys a comfortable majority.
Additionally, Giriraj Singh also directed his remarks towards West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she governs with the aid of "foreign infiltrators."
“Mamata Banerjee’s challenges are distinct from those of Rahul Gandhi. She is attempting to lead West Bengal with the support of foreign infiltrators, aiming to turn Bengal into Bangladesh. Currently, foreign infiltrators have established influence in numerous districts, creating a dire situation for Hindus,” Singh stated.
