Patna, June 12 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a fierce critique against the Congress party on Thursday, claiming that the historic errors committed by the party have had lasting repercussions. Speaking to reporters in Begusarai, Singh stated, "The Congress party has made significant missteps, including taking the Kashmir issue to the United Nations, mishandling Tibet, and losing 34,000 square kilometers of land to China during its rule."
While acknowledging the contributions of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, he remarked, "Timely action could have yielded even better results."
Singh also directed his comments toward Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, suggesting that he remains ensnared in the "family narratives" of the Gandhi dynasty and has yet to emancipate himself from its legacy.
"Kharge may have aged, but he still clings to the outdated stories of the Gandhi family. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the nation has progressed and achieved renewed respect on the global platform," Singh asserted.
He concluded by stating that Prime Minister Modi has effectively reformed India's foreign policy and enhanced the country's global standing, saying, "Today, India is respected worldwide, a direct outcome of PM Modi's leadership and decisive actions."
Singh's remarks came in response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to Gaya and Nalanda districts on June 6, where he criticized the government's foreign policy and the ceasefire agreement during Operation Sindoor.
Gandhi accused PM Modi of capitulating under pressure from former US President Donald Trump during Operation Sindoor, claiming that Trump had repeatedly asserted he forced Modi into agreeing to a ceasefire, a claim Modi has never denied. "If Trump is lying, why hasn’t PM Modi publicly refuted him?" Gandhi questioned.
