Giriraj Singh Blames Nehru Family for Poor Treatment of Dr. Ambedkar

New Delhi, Dec 24 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh has made a pointed accusation against the Congress, asserting that the Nehru family has mistreated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Speaking to IANS, Singh remarked, "If anyone wronged Baba Saheb Ambedkar throughout his life, it was the Congress and the Nehru family. Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and their associates should apologize not just to Baba Saheb but to the entire nation."
Singh pointed to events in Sambhal and Kanpur, criticizing certain factions for showing disrespect towards the Constitution. He alleged, "Some individuals discuss the Constitution but refuse to comply with it. In Sambhal, when court orders are enacted, they resort to stone-pelting. In Kanpur, illegal encroachments on temples were removed, but such actions demonstrate how these factions prioritize division over unity."
The minister accused the Congress and its allies of encouraging division. "Since 1947, these groups have opted to align with extremist factions instead of fostering brotherhood. They preach unity while siding with radicals," Singh commented, criticizing leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Lalu Yadav.
Regarding the Congress’ intent to stage a nationwide protest against supposed disrespect towards Ambedkar, Singh dismissed it as insincere. "The Congress lacks the moral standing to invoke Baba Saheb’s name. They have spent decades oppressing him and his ideals," he stated.
Singh also mocked Rahul Gandhi’s recent public appearances, saying, "Rahul Gandhi behaves like a bouncer in his new image. He exhibits no leadership qualities."
His comments arise amid rising tensions over communal incidents and the Congress's ongoing demonstrations.
Earlier on Thursday, the Congress staged a protest in Agartala over Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Parliament, even burning his effigy.
This protest was part of a series of actions organized by the Congress against HM Shah’s statements in the Rajya Sabha during the current Winter Session of Parliament, with the party claiming he had disrespected the architect of the Constitution.
