New Delhi, Feb 3 (NationPress) In a remarkable first, Delhi Lok Niwas on Tuesday resonated with the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ and the National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ at an event aimed at facilitating interaction with the Republic Day Camp Contingent of NCC, as confirmed by an official.
During this event, Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena shared insights about his engagement with the cadets via social media, stating, “The discipline, passion, and unwavering dedication of these young cadets towards the nation is truly inspiring.”
“For over seven decades, NCC has played a pivotal role in nation-building, and I am confident these cadets will uphold this legacy in our journey towards #ViksitBharat@2047, as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji,” he remarked.
Earlier, in January, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also interacted with the cadets at the Republic Day Camp of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), encouraging them to evolve into responsible and tech-savvy citizens prioritizing the nation.
“In India's tradition, values of placing the nation first have been instilled since childhood. The NCC is currently at the forefront of this legacy,” she emphasized.
“I had the chance to experience the atmosphere filled with the cadets' discipline, determination, and spirit of national service at the Republic Day Camp of the National Cadet Corps,” Chief Minister Gupta expressed on the social media platform X.
“Alongside observing the Guard of Honour, Band Display, and Hall of Fame, I gained insights into innovative programs like the Young Disaster Friend Scheme and drone training. These initiatives are vital for developing responsible, capable, and technologically empowered youth in these changing times,” she added.
Impressed with the cadets' discipline and presentation, Chief Minister Gupta praised their conduct, noting that their synchronized march, band performances, and cultural displays reflected the very essence of the nation.
She commended the NCC for cultivating courageous and responsible youth while instilling lifelong values of nationalism, unity, and constitutional commitment.
Highlighting the NCC's comprehensive training framework, she underscored the significance of national integration initiatives such as the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' Camps and Special National Integration Camps.
