New Delhi, June 24 (NationPress) The Cyber Police Station in Shahdara successfully dismantled a cyber-enabled fraudulent job scheme that deceived numerous job seekers by falsely advertising employment opportunities at well-known companies like Zepto through a counterfeit App named 'Job Hai'.
The scam, operating under the title 'Treasure Find Solution', has swindled victims out of significant amounts of money through misleading job offers and false commitments.
The incident came to light when a 19-year-old individual from Bhola Nath Nagar was enticed by a YouTube advertisement promoting the job search App 'Job Hai'.
After applying for a cashier's role, he was approached by a man impersonating an HR representative named Kamal, who invited him for a walk-in interview at Nirman Vihar.
Over the course of the next ten days, the victim was tricked into paying Rs 9,000 under the false pretense of registration, verification, and processing fees. When he declined to pay more, the fraudsters blocked his contact.
In response to the victim’s report, the Cyber Police filed an FIR and initiated an investigation led by SHO Inspector Vijay Kumar and ACP Gurdev Singh.
By employing mobile forensics and technical surveillance, the team identified the primary suspect as Rahul, 30, who resides in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. He, along with his wife Seema, operated the fraudulent placement agency from a rented office in Nirman Vihar.
While Rahul has been apprehended, Seema is still at large. Raids conducted in Noida and Delhi resulted in the recovery of more than 100 resumes, Aadhaar cards, forged service agreement documents, and a company seal from the vacated office.
