For those heading to India Gate to celebrate the New Year, the traffic police have advised, “Visitors should utilize public transport due to the limited parking availability at India Gate. Anticipating a large crowd at Delhi Zoo, motorists are urged to avoid Bhairon Road/Mathura Road between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Pragati Maidan.
“We request commuters to cooperate by avoiding the aforementioned roads, if feasible, and to maximize the use of public transport to ensure a safe journey. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in alleviating traffic congestion during this period. For those traveling to ISBT/Railway Stations/Airports, please plan your journey with ample time,” said the traffic police.
While the restrictions may not significantly affect traffic towards the Old Railway Station, the traffic police have outlined specific routes for accessing New Delhi Railway Station after 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
