New Delhi, Jan 25 (NationPress) As the Republic Day festivities approach, the Delhi Police has rolled out a detailed traffic advisory aimed at educating commuters regarding the various road restrictions and diversions that will be enacted during the celebrations.

As per a statement from the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), D.K. Gupta, notable traffic control measures will begin on Saturday evening at 9:00 PM.

The advisory specifies that diversions will be in effect on roads leading to the parade route, which runs from Vijay Chowk to the Red Fort.

C-Hexagon will experience closures starting at 9:15 PM on Saturday, and it is recommended that commuters avoid this vicinity.

The Republic Day parade is set to commence at 10:30 AM on Sunday, January 26, and will cover a route that includes Vijay Chowk, Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Tilak Marg, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, concluding at the Red Fort.

In terms of security, Kartavya Path will be closed to all vehicles from 5:00 PM on Saturday until the parade wraps up.

Moreover, cross traffic on major routes such as Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road will be restricted beginning at 10:00 PM on Saturday.

C-Hexagon will remain closed for traffic from 9:15 AM until the parade has fully passed along Tilak Marg on Sunday.
