Devotees Celebrate New Year by Visiting Temples to Seek Divine Blessings

New Delhi, Jan 1 (NationPress) As the clock marked the onset of 2025, countless devotees throughout the nation made their way to temples to commence the New Year by receiving divine blessings. From the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttar Pradesh to the tranquil Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Somnath Mahadev Temple in Gujarat, worshippers honored the enduring custom of seeking spiritual solace and grace.

At the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, the day commenced with the Mangala Aarti and a special decoration of Lord Shiva. The temple experienced a significant influx of visitors who queued for darshan from the early hours.

A devotee expressed, “We initiated the New Year by visiting Baba and receiving his blessings in the early morning. We hope that, just as Baba’s blessings made our past year fruitful, 2025 will be even more prosperous under his grace.”

This temple, being one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and a vital Hindu pilgrimage site, resonated with chants of devotion, setting a sacred tone for the year to come.

In Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, the Vaishno Devi shrine welcomed pilgrims from all over the country, eager to receive Mata Rani’s blessings. The crisp winter air enhanced the serene ambiance as devotees fervently prayed.

A visitor from Gujarat remarked, “We hail from Ahmedabad and Kheda district. The atmosphere here is delightful, and the chilly weather adds to the experience. Mata Ji’s blessings are abundant, and we pray that Mata Rani fulfills everyone’s wishes in the best possible way.”

At the Somnath Mahadev Temple in Gujarat, the first of the 12 Jyotirlingas, the sacred vibrations from New Year prayers filled the air. Thousands of devotees gathered, hoping for a prosperous year ahead.

A pilgrim noted, “On the first day of 2025, I was fortunate enough to visit Somnath Baba’s temple. The atmosphere here is profoundly sacred, and it is a significant blessing for me to have darshan on this first day. I pray for our country’s continued progress.”

Throughout India, temples experienced similar enthusiasm, with devotees pledging to begin the year on a spiritual note, praying for health, prosperity, and overall well-being.
