On this significant day, Pujari Vinod Mishra from Delhi's Jhandewalan Temple remarked to IANS, "Today marks the sixth day of Vasantha Navratri, when Goddess Katyayani is worshipped, especially by young women desiring a suitable life partner."
A regular temple visitor noted, "Although the morning crowd seemed smaller this time, all arrangements have been well executed at the temple."
Another prominent temple, Kalkaji Temple in New Delhi, also saw a gathering of devotees who came to offer their prayers on this sixth day of the festival. A priest from Kalkaji Temple, who is part of the Shri Kalka Ji Mandir Prabandhak Sudhar Committee, commented, "The atmosphere is delightful, and we've ensured all necessary arrangements for the devotees. Everyone has contributed to the 'seva'."
Meanwhile, at Darshani Deodi, devotees sang devotional songs as they made their way to the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. A pilgrim from Ambala, Punjab, shared with IANS, "Though I visit every three months, 'darshan' of the goddess holds special significance during Navratri. I pray for the health and safety of our soldiers guarding the borders. They protect our nation, and may God keep them safe. We stand with them."
Another devotee added, "May the goddess shield the soldiers and their families who tirelessly safeguard our country, regardless of the season."
In Gujarat's Banaskantha, thousands of devotees gathered at the Ambaji Shaktipeeth from early morning to witness the renowned 'Mangala Aarti'. The Chief Priest and Ghadipati of Ambaji Temple, Jayashilbhai Thakar, stated to IANS, "People travel from far and wide to receive the goddess's blessings."
A devotee who visited with friends expressed, "Participating in the 'Mangala Aarti' was an incredible experience, feeling as though the goddess herself has bestowed her blessings upon us."
On the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri, devotees also congregated at Mata Tekri in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh and filled the temples of Maa Tulja Bhavani and Maa Chamunda.
