Mumbai, Aug 13 (NationPress) Commemorating Sridevi’s 62nd birth anniversary on Wednesday, actress Divya Khossla chose to honor the iconic star with an emotional rendition of her memorable track "Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai" from the 1989 film "ChaalBaaz".
Khossla shared a delightful video on her official Instagram account, where she appeared in a maid's attire, featuring a simple salwar kameez and no makeup.
She danced along to the lively song while playfully cleaning the floor with a mob in hand.
In her tribute to the late Sridevi, Khossla expressed her admiration in a heartfelt note: "Sridevi Mam has always been my inspiration. On her birthday, here’s a small tribute to her from my film #EkChaturNaar on her iconic song ‘Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’. Grateful beyond words for the chance to celebrate my forever favourite with this performance! Her magic lives on ...PS: Kisi ke haath na aayegi ye ladki."
Earlier, producer Boney Kapoor also remembered Sridevi by sharing a treasured memory from 1990, when his beloved mistakenly thought he was teasing her with a compliment.
Posting a nostalgic image from Sridevi’s 27th birthday in 1990 on social media, Boney shared that at her birthday party in Chennai, he deliberately wished her a “happy 26th birthday”, which the late star misinterpreted as a tease.
"In 1990 her birthday party in Chennai when I wished her happy 26th birthday while it was her 27th birthday to make her feel that she had gone younger & it was a compliment, that with every passing day she is getting younger but she taught (thought) I was teasing her," the producer wrote.
For those unfamiliar, Boney and Sridevi fell in love while filming the 1987 movie “Mr. India”. They married in 1996 and were blessed with two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
Sadly, Sridevi passed away unexpectedly in 2018 in Dubai due to an accidental drowning at the age of 54.
