Exhibition Celebrating the Life of Ayodhya Queen Jyotsna Mishra Features Notable Guests Including Sonal Mansingh, Sudha Murthy, and Hema Malini

New Delhi, Dec 12 (NationPress) An exhibition took place in the national capital on Thursday to honor Maharani Jyotsna Mishra of Ayodhya. This event highlighted the vibrant cultural heritage of the sacred city and saw the attendance of several esteemed figures, including Padma Shri recipients, Dr. Sonal Mansingh and Sudha Murthy.
Among the prominent guests was BJP MP and Bollywood star Hema Malini, who graced the occasion.
The exhibition, named 'Shubhrajyotsna', displayed an exquisite array of textiles, jewelry, and decorative artifacts crafted in her palace workshop under the Shilpmanjari brand, reflecting the vision of Queen Jyotsna Mishra.
Attendees were presented with rare archival items from the royal family's collection alongside contemporary artworks, immersing them in the unique cultural heritage of Ayodhya and its tradition of harmonious coexistence, a legacy that Maharani Jyotsna Devi Mishra upheld throughout her life.
Guests were welcomed by Manjari Mishra, the daughter of the Queen, and her son, poet Yatendra Mishra, who shared insights about their mother's artistic endeavors and accomplishments.
Manjari Mishra remarked that the exhibition was a tribute to her mother’s memory. A book was also launched during the event.
She expressed to reporters that her mother, Jyotsna Mishra, was an admirer of Hema Malini.
“It is a fortunate moment for us that Hema Malini took the time to attend this program,” she stated.
“This exhibition is a tribute to my mother's elegance and her passion for crafts. Her influence helped me appreciate the rich Ganga-Jamuni culture of Ayodhya, where traditions blend seamlessly. Every artisan, regardless of their faith, becomes a guardian of our heritage,” she added.
She further emphasized that 'Shubhrajyotsna' is not merely a celebration of craftsmanship but also a tribute to the values of unity and harmony that her mother cherished.
