Did Farah Khan Prefer Purav Jha Over Uorfi in 'The Traitors'?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 8 (NationPress) In a recent episode of her YouTube series, renowned director and choreographer Farah Khan paid a visit to actor and YouTuber Purav Jha at his home in Mumbai, accompanied by her cook, Dilip.
During their chat, Farah confessed that she was rooting for Purav to emerge victorious in the reality show, 'The Traitors', rather than Uorfi Javed. "I truly felt disappointed because I wanted you to win, Traitors," said the creator of 'Om Shanti Om'.
Purav reacted with a hint of nostalgia, stating, "Every day, I strive to forget this heartache, but someone keeps bringing it up." Farah acknowledged that many viewers felt Purav should have clinched the title, emphasizing that public sentiment matters.
"I apologize, Uorfi, but he was the real winner," Farah asserted confidently.
She also commended Purav for expertly eliminating fellow contestant Elnaaz Norouzi from the competition, while Purav clarified that Elnaaz was attempting to set him up. "After watching the show, I couldn't believe it. I felt guilty for mentioning her name until I saw the truth unfold," he revealed.
In classic Farah fashion, she quipped, "I had no idea she was such a talented actress. She should showcase this skill in movies!"
Meanwhile, Uorfi, the show's winner, shared her perspective on 'The Traitors', describing it as a more strategic and cerebral format compared to 'Bigg Boss'. Speaking to IANS, she remarked, "I didn’t really see myself in Bigg Boss, as I left within a week. Bigg Boss is very different. The Traitors is a completely different game. You need to think critically. Conflicts arise naturally among diverse personalities, but I kept my cool. The aim on that show is to win, not to argue. The Traitors is pure class on Prime."
Uorfi elaborated, "The Traitors was about manipulation, but I approached it positively—appearing harmless, avoiding confrontations, and maintaining an innocent front. That was my survival strategy."
