Jaipur, Dec 17 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Minister of State for Home, Jawahar Singh Bedham, on Wednesday vehemently dismissed the claims made by Leader of the Opposition Tika Ram Jully, labeling them as misleading and founded on erroneous information.
He pointed out that Jully had conveniently overlooked his own period as a minister in the previous Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government, during which Rajasthan faced a severe decline in law and order, causing distress among the common populace.
Recently, Jully asserted that the Rajasthan government only possesses “false figures to count.”
Bedham emphasized that the Congress government had not managed to implement even 40 percent of its budgetary announcements, yet its leaders persist in deceiving the public through press briefings.
He remarked that Congress has steered clear of substantial debates in the Assembly due to their frustration with the developmental initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, unable to bear Rajasthan’s swift advancement.
“They have no response when comparing five years of Congress governance with two years of the BJP administration,” he added.
Highlighting the current government's accomplishments, the Minister of State for Home Affairs noted that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has significantly augmented electricity generation in the state and has welcomed entrepreneurs from both India and abroad under the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative to foster employment.
Agreements worth Rs 8 lakh crore have been executed, paving the way for extensive investment and economic development.
Bedham remarked that, during the Congress administration, gang wars were prevalent, corruption was rampant, and incidents of theft and burglary surged, all while the government failed to take decisive action.
“The Congress aimed to push Rajasthan back into a state of stagnation,” he declared. He further asserted that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has steered Rajasthan firmly onto a developmental trajectory by ensuring effective execution of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister, he stated, is diligently working to fulfill the vision of a developed Rajasthan, inspired by the principle of ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay’ and guided by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Bedham also underscored the government’s initiatives that favor farmers and the underprivileged, asserting that while Congress exploited farmers, the current government has offered a Rs 150 bonus on wheat and raised support under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000.
Old-age pensions have been increased to aid senior citizens, with ongoing efforts to create a crime-free Rajasthan, ensure sufficient water supply, advance industrial growth, and establish the state as a leader in electricity production.
In conclusion, the Minister of State for Home Affairs asserted that the Chief Minister is devoted to making Rajasthan self-sufficient and developed and advised the Leader of the Opposition to refrain from misleading the people of Rajasthan with unfounded and baseless claims.
