Haridwar, Sep 2 (NationPress) - The ancient city, revered as the gateway to spiritual awakening, has now stepped into the digital age with the introduction of the ‘Ek Ishwar’ mobile application. This innovative initiative merges timeless faith with contemporary technology. The app was officially unveiled at the sacred Siddhpeeth Dakshin Kali Temple by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Maharaj of the Niranjani Akhada.
In an interview with IANS, Maharaj shared that the app was conceived by Samriddhi Bajaj from Mumbai, aiming to enhance accessibility to spiritual experiences for devotees worldwide.
“The mission of ‘Ek Ishwar’ is to provide darshan, virtual aarti, and spiritual encounters directly to the homes of worshippers, especially for those unable to visit temples in person,” he explained.
Through this app, users can not only view live or pre-recorded pujas and aartis but also engage in rituals from afar.
“Worship through meditation and the mind holds the same significance as physical puja,” emphasized Kailashanand Maharaj. “This app will facilitate spiritual connections, irrespective of users' locations.”
A remarkable aspect of Ek Ishwar is its provision of home delivery for prasad and puja samagri (ritual items), ensuring that each offering remains pure and adheres to traditional practices. This initiative seeks to preserve the sanctity of rituals while adapting to the digital landscape.
Maharaj noted that the app will be launched across the nation in phases, enabling millions to engage with Sanatan Dharma in a manner that aligns with their digital lifestyles.
“This serves as a link between India's spiritual heritage and the modern world,” he remarked.
Ek Ishwar is being celebrated as a pioneering app that puts the temple experience literally in the palm of one’s hand. As India increasingly embraces digital platforms, this development marks a significant transition in harmonizing tradition with technology, reinforcing that spirituality can also progress with the times.
