Haryana CM Nayab Saini pledges to implement PM Modi's guidance on ground
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday, 3 October 2026, described a meeting of the state's ministers and MLAs with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'historic and inspiring', announcing that the Prime Minister's guidance on development, public service and organisational outreach would be translated into ground-level action across every constituency in the state.
What the Meeting Covered
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Chief Minister Saini said Prime Minister Modi had provided direction on strengthening Haryana's contribution to the Viksit Bharat vision while keeping the government closely connected with ordinary citizens. 'Prime Minister Modi's guidance is our resolve,' Saini said.
He added that ministers, MLAs and organisational workers would carry the message to their respective departments, constituencies and villages, ensuring the outreach extended well beyond election cycles.
Village-Level Outreach Plan
The Chief Minister outlined a structured grassroots engagement model: regular meetings would be organised in 30 to 35 villages in every Assembly constituency. Groups of 200 to 300 people would visit villages every month, conducting cleanliness drives, holding tiffin meetings and interacting with residents to identify and resolve local issues.
Special emphasis, Saini said, would be placed on environmental protection, plantation drives and promoting girls' education, particularly in areas where female educational attainment remains low.
Solar Energy Push for Farmers
Prime Minister Modi, according to Saini, called for transforming farmers from food providers into energy producers as well. Under the PM-KUSUM scheme, farmers would be encouraged to adopt solar-powered agricultural pumps and install solar panels along field boundaries.
Efforts under the PM Surya Ghar scheme would also be accelerated. Saini noted that solar panels have already been installed on the rooftops of more than 1.5 lakh houses in Haryana, with these households reportedly benefiting from zero electricity bills.
Broader Development Philosophy
Saini said the Prime Minister had stressed that a developed India could not be built by governments alone — every village, farmer, youth, woman and family must participate in the development process. Politics, Modi reportedly emphasised, should be treated as an instrument of public service, not merely an electoral exercise.
With a clear action plan now in place, all eyes will be on whether Haryana's ruling dispensation can convert these stated commitments into measurable outcomes on the ground.
