AAP Accuses BJP of Transforming Haryana into a Crime Hub
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chandigarh, April 9 (NationPress) AAP's national media incharge, Anurag Dhanda, condemned the BJP's governance, declaring that Haryana has devolved into a crime-ridden state. He pointed to a shocking murder that occurred in Jhajjar on Wednesday, where a group of three to four armed assailants stormed into a home in broad daylight, unleashed a barrage of 14 bullets, and casually left while law enforcement remained inactive.
“It’s puzzling that the Congress, often vocal about law and order issues in Punjab, has chosen to remain silent despite their role as the primary opposition in Haryana,” Dhanda remarked on X.
“What is the nature of the Congress's relationship with the BJP government in Haryana? How do we characterize this connection?” he questioned.
The shooting incident took place in the village of Dighal in the Jhajjar district, where a financier, who was enjoying a hookah outside his residence, was brutally shot.
CCTV footage has emerged, vividly capturing the armed perpetrators during the attack.
Upon notification of the incident, a police team quickly arrived to commence an investigation.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Sahil, also known as Sonu, a local of Dighal village.
Despite being critically injured, Sahil was taken to a hospital in Rohtak, where medical staff pronounced him dead. Reports indicate that the attackers, who arrived in a Scorpio SUV, discharged between 10 and 15 rounds, several of which hit Sahil.
The sound of gunfire incited panic throughout the village.
Additional video evidence shows three or four assailants in a black Scorpio entering the premises.
They opened fire repeatedly at Sahil, who was seated in the courtyard. Dressed in a white shirt, he was struck and fell to the ground. One of the assailants ventured further inside before all fled the scene in their vehicle.
Numerous bystanders rushed towards the area upon hearing the gunshots.
