Chandigarh, Oct 28 (NationPress) The Haryana government has announced the organization of state-level festivities to commemorate the Foundation Day from November 1 to 3 in Panchkula. The event will be inaugurated by Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, with the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, various state ministers, senior officials, and a large audience.

During the festivities, students from colleges throughout the state will engage in Group Dance and Ragini competitions. Exceptional performers will receive cash awards, as stated in an official announcement.

The top prize will amount to Rs 1 lakh. The Chief Minister is expected to return to the venue on November 3 to honor the winners.

Additionally, a heritage exhibition will be held at Yavanika Garden, showcasing the state’s rich cultural traditions, clothing, agricultural tools, folk art, and handicrafts.

This exhibition aims to bridge the gap between the younger generation and the state’s cultural heritage. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Haryana’s age-old traditions.

Festival attendees can indulge in stalls featuring traditional Haryanvi cuisine, including dishes like ‘desi ghee boora’, ‘bajra roti’, ‘sarson ka saag’, and various chutneys, along with numerous other folk delicacies.

A special Haryanvi turban (khandwa) stall will also be available, allowing individuals to have the turban tied on themselves. Invitations are being extended to all MLAs and members from both the ruling and opposition parties. Government and private colleges are encouraged to send their students to participate in the song, ragini, and group dance contests, with only one team from each college allowed in the singing and group dance categories.
