Access to the Gurez area in Bandipora district as well as Tangdhar and Karnah in Kupwara district has also been restricted.
Fresh snowfall has been reported in higher-altitude areas, resulting in a drop in temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir. The chilly winds from the snow-covered mountains have compelled residents to don warm clothing.
The MET department has warned of potential moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in scattered regions on Saturday.

Many streets and roads in Srinagar city have become waterlogged, with residents navigating through knee-deep water in several uptown areas.
Recent hailstorms have inflicted considerable damage on apple, cherry, and other fruit trees, while vegetables have also suffered due to gusty winds and hail.
