Defence spokesperson Lt Col Mahendra Rawat explained that this exercise is designed as a forward-thinking initiative aimed at validating multi-domain integration across land, air, and maritime domains, showcasing the Indian Armed Forces’ preparedness for future confrontations.
The primary objective of the exercise is to enhance interoperability, boost situational awareness, and assess command and control frameworks for cohesive mission execution, he elaborated.
A key feature of the exercise will be the synchronized deployment of Special Forces, unmanned aerial vehicles, precision systems, and interconnected operations centers functioning together under realistic high-altitude scenarios.
“Updated Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) will be scrutinized and validated to strengthen combat adaptability and agility,” he highlighted.
Exercise ‘Poorvi Prachand Prahar’ represents the latest advancement in India’s tri-service integration efforts, following the successful execution of Ex Bhala Prahar (2023) and Ex Poorvi Prahar (2024).
This exercise underscores the Armed Forces’ unified commitment to uphold mission readiness and collaborative operational effectiveness in safeguarding the nation, emphasized Lt Col Rawat.
Simultaneously, promoting the vision of a greener, healthier, and sustainable India, the Pedal to Plant Expedition 2025, a nationwide cycling initiative dedicated to environmental sustainability, fitness, and green living, was ceremonially launched from Pangsau Pass in Arunachal Pradesh.
The expedition will traverse the country and culminate in Gujarat on December 31. Lt Col Rawat stated that this distinct initiative, under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is spearheaded by Nisha Kumari, a notable para-cyclist and Everester climber.
The goal of the expedition is to plant one lakh saplings nationwide, advocating the message of a Greener, Fitter, and Better Nation through active citizen engagement.
The initial phase of the tree-planting initiative was conducted at Jairampur, Arunachal Pradesh, immediately following the flag-off ceremony.
