New Delhi, March 30 (NationPress) The Indian men's cricket team is poised for a visit to Australia for a white-ball series during the 2025/26 international cricket season. Meanwhile, the women's team will engage in an all-format series afterwards.

According to the schedule released by Cricket Australia (CA) on Sunday, the 2025-26 international season will mark the inaugural instance of men's internationals being hosted across all eight Australian states and territories.

The international season in Australia will kick off with a series against South Africa, featuring three men's T20Is and an equal number of ODIs to be held in Mackay, Darwin, and Cairns in August. Notably, the T20Is in Darwin will signify the return of international cricket to the Northern Territory after a 17-year absence.

Following this, India will return to Australia for a white-ball series after concluding the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy series 3-1 earlier this year. The two teams will compete in three ODIs across Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney from October 19-25, while five T20Is will occur in Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, and Brisbane from October 29 to November 8.

The highlight of the international season will be the five-match men’s Ashes series between Australia and England, scheduled in Perth (November 21-25), Brisbane (December 4-8), Adelaide (December 17-21), Melbourne (December 26-30), and Sydney (January 4-8).

Subsequently, the all-format women’s series featuring Australia and India will take the spotlight. The Sydney Cricket Ground will host the first T20I on February 15, followed by matches at Manuka Oval and Adelaide Oval on February 19 and 21, respectively.

The three ODIs will take place at Allan Border Field in Brisbane (February 24), Bellerive Oval in Hobart (February 27), and CitiPower Centre in Melbourne (March 1), culminating in a highly anticipated one-off Test at the newly renovated WACA Ground from March 6-9.

In light of the all-format series, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season has been rescheduled to occur in the January-February timeframe, as per the new ICC Women's Future Tours Programme.

“We are thrilled to unveil the schedule for what promises to be another remarkable international season, featuring the rich history and fierce rivalry of the Ashes, the enormous appeal of the India men's and women’s teams, and a return to iconic tourist destinations in northern Australia for the white-ball series against South Africa.

“We look forward to bringing international cricket to fans nationwide, with 11 cities and 14 venues hosting matches throughout the season, including games in every state and territory capital city for the first time in 17 years.

“Last summer, we achieved record attendance, viewership, and digital engagement, and we are confident that this momentum will carry through what promises to be an exciting season ahead,” stated Todd Greenberg, CA's newly-appointed CEO.
