Insights from Indian Women on Investing in Gold and Silver: Jim Rogers

New Delhi, Nov 28 (NationPress) As the prices of gold and silver continue to climb amidst geopolitical tensions, renowned global investor Jim Rogers has a crucial piece of advice for individuals: remain invested in precious metals, and there is no better source of knowledge about bullion than the women of India.
In a recent discussion with IANS, Rogers, celebrated for his strategic insights and investment acumen, mentioned that he personally holds both gold and silver.
“Everyone should possess gold and silver. This is something I realized in India, where women in the marketplace imparted significant lessons about these metals,” he remarked.
“If I were to make a purchase today, I would opt for silver because it is currently more affordable. I hope to possess the foresight to acquire more of both if their prices decrease,” Rogers expressed.
A recent report from the World Gold Council (WGC) indicated that demand in India surged by 18 percent year-on-year, reaching 248.3 tonnes in the September quarter, driven by increased jewelry consumption and investments in gold.
In terms of value, India's gold demand during this quarter soared by 52 percent year-on-year to ₹1.65 lakh crore, compared to ₹1.08 lakh crore in the same period last year. The demand for gold jewelry in India rose by 10 percent year-on-year to 171.6 tonnes in the September quarter, attributed to weddings and the festive season.
Regarding mutual funds (MFs), Rogers stated that if individuals are knowledgeable, they should consider investing in MFs as “a pathway to enhanced prosperity.”
“However, do not invest unless you are well-informed. Do not heed the advice of others. Only invest in areas where you possess substantial knowledge. If you are well-versed in a subject, seek investments in that field for success,” the veteran investor advised IANS.
“I exited my investments in India prematurely. I plan to invest more in India as the country holds a promising future,” concluded Rogers, the American billionaire residing in Singapore.
