Jaipur, April 22 (NationPress) US Vice President J.D. Vance declared on Tuesday that the 21st century holds great promise if India and the US unite their efforts.
Speaking to a diverse audience at RIC in Jaipur, he remarked, 'I am convinced that PM Modi is a committed leader who has profoundly considered India’s future prosperity and security, not only for his tenure but for the coming century. I want to conclude with a straightforward, significant assertion.'
'We have now officially completed one quarter of the 21st century—25 years in, with 75 years remaining. I genuinely believe that the trajectory of this century will be shaped by the robustness of the US-India alliance. If we collaborate effectively, we will witness a 21st century filled with prosperity and peace. Conversely, if we fail to cooperate, it could lead to a bleak era for humanity,' V-P Vance emphasized.
'It is evident to me, as it is to many observers, that President Trump is intent on recalibrating America’s economic ties globally. The US V-P also discussed the trade war, stating, 'Critics have targeted my President Trump for initiating a trade war to revive outdated jobs. However, that could not be further from the truth.' When President Trump and Prime Minister Modi announced in February their goal to more than double our bilateral trade to $500 billion by the decade's end, I am confident that both leaders were sincere.
