Jabalpur, July 19 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh BJP President Hemant Khandelwal called on party leaders and members on Saturday to act as a solid bridge connecting the public with the state government.
During his initial visit to Jabalpur following his election as the new State BJP President, Khandelwal emphasized that each BJP member's behavior should be respectful, adhering to the party's guidelines.
"Jabalpur is recognized as the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh, and while I’m here today, I implore every BJP worker to strive for the welfare of ordinary citizens. Your actions should bring honor to both the party and yourselves," he stated.
Prior to his address to the BJP members, Khandelwal, who was accompanied by former State BJP Chief and State Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh, paid homage with floral tributes at the statue of Subhas Chandra Bose.
"Netaji's life embodies patriotism, sacrifice, and inspiration," he remarked.
Upon arriving in Jabalpur, popularly known as ‘Sanskar Dhani’, Khandelwal was warmly welcomed by BJP district members and leaders.
He later took part in an extensive roadshow throughout the city.
On July 2, Betul MLA Hemant Khandelwal was elected unopposed as the new State BJP President, succeeding V.D. Sharma, who led the state party for over five years.
Since his election, he has been touring various parts of the state to engage with party workers.
While addressing the party workers, Khandelwal consistently reiterated, "Maintain discipline. Those who stray from the party's principles will face consequences," in his first public speech after his election.
He further motivated the BJP members by stating, "I do not have any unique or superior qualifications. I am just an ordinary worker like all of you. Focus on the people, and the party will focus on you."
He had made a similar declaration during his recent visit to Gwalior two days earlier, and once again in Jabalpur on Saturday.
