Bengaluru, Oct 30 (NationPress) The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) has, on Thursday, put a hold on the suspension order against a Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) who was penalized for his participation in a foot march organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
This decision was made in response to the appeal filed by PDO Praveen Kumar, who argued that his suspension was both unlawful and influenced by political pressures following his involvement in the RSS foot march in Lingasagur, located in Raichur district. Senior counsel Prabhuling Navadgi represented Kumar during the tribunal proceedings.
Tejasvi Surya, the National President of BJP Yuva Morcha and MP for Bengaluru South, expressed his satisfaction with the KAT's ruling, stating, “The unilateral suspension of PDO Praveen Kumar for attending the RSS foot march in Lingasugur was successfully challenged by our legal team at the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal. The tribunal has now annulled this politically charged suspension.”
Surya further remarked, “This serves as a clear message to the Congress government that attempts at intimidation will not undermine the nationalist values espoused by the RSS, marking a significant defeat for the state administration.”
