Lokesh Chandra, an IAS officer from the 1993 batch and the Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, has been assigned the role of Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister in Mumbai.
Ashwini Bhide, an IAS officer from the 1995 batch currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Notably, she is the first female bureaucrat to take charge of this position, particularly at a time when the civic body is spearheading several initiatives aimed at transforming Mumbai.
Vikas Chandra Rastogi, also from the 1995 IAS batch and serving as Additional Chief Secretary for Agriculture, will now take on the role of Additional Chief Secretary for Financial Reforms in the Finance Department at the Mantralaya in Mumbai. His new role aligns with the state's ambitious vision document targeting a 'Viksit Maharashtra' by 2047, aiming for a $5 trillion economy.
Vinita Vaid Singal, an IAS officer from the 1996 batch and currently the Principal Secretary for Disaster Management, Relief, and Rehabilitation, will move to become the Principal Secretary for the Soil and Water Conservation Department at Mantralaya in Mumbai.
Parimal Singh, an IAS officer from the 2004 batch who has been the Project Director of the Nanaji Deshmukh Krishi Sanjivanee Project (POCRA), will now serve as Secretary of the Agriculture Department. He will oversee the implementation of the Maharashtra MahaAgri-AI Policy 2025–2029, which has a budget of Rs 500 crore to incorporate AI technologies into agriculture, aiming to enhance productivity by 40% and reduce fertilizer costs by 30%.
Tukaram Mundhe, an IAS officer from the 2005 batch who is currently the Secretary of the Divyang Kalyan Department, will take on the role of Secretary for Disaster Management, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, as well as for the Revenue and Forest Department at the Mantralaya in Mumbai.
Lahu Mali, from the 2009 IAS batch, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Shivshahi Punarvasan Project Limited in Mumbai.
