Mumbai, April 10 (NationPress) Maharashtra's Transport Minister, Pratap Sarnaik, addressed the ongoing initiative of Shiv Sena titled ‘Operation Tiger’ during a press conference on Friday.

Sarnaik emphasized that ‘Operation Tiger’ operates throughout the year, welcoming anyone who aligns with the ideology of the late Balasaheb Thackeray or current Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He assured that these interactions would be conducted in a manner that is transparent and open.

While speaking to the media, he noted that several MLAs from the Shiv Sena (UBT) had approached him during the Legislative Assembly session.

“As the Transport Minister, I am here to listen to everyone’s concerns. We do not engage in secretive meetings regarding ‘Operation Tiger’. Anyone interested in our ideology is encouraged to join,” he stated.

On the topic of the court's order to review the electronic voting machines in the Chandivali Assembly constituency, Sarnaik assured that the ruling would be fully honored.

“The court has instructed an inquiry, and we must respect that directive,” he added.

Furthermore, the Transport Minister expressed his support for the Central Government’s initiative to transition all toll plazas to a cashless system.

“This initiative, led by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, is something we are also pursuing at the state level. It is essential for alleviating traffic congestion at toll booths,” he remarked.

Sarnaik took a firm stance on the ‘Speak Marathi, Get a Permit’ initiative, declaring that proficiency in Marathi is necessary for anyone wishing to live and work in Maharashtra. This policy was established back in 2019, he clarified.

Addressing the matter involving comedian Kunal Kamra, he mentioned that the Legislative Assembly Speaker has formed a committee to review the situation, with Kamra currently providing his statement.

“I cannot comment further on this matter at this time. If they fail to recognize their errors, they can expect to face consequences in true Shiv Sena fashion,” Sarnaik stated.

He also updated on the progress of the Metro Project-10, indicating that the route from Dahisar to Kashi Gaon Metro Station was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
