New Delhi, Oct 31 (NationPress) Filmmaker Milap Zaveri, who is currently riding high on the success of his latest film “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat”, shared that he prefers direction over writing because it allows him to engage in every aspect of filmmaking.

Milap expressed to IANS: “I would choose the director Milap because the director Milap gets to do everything. He gets to write also, he gets to direct also, he gets to do it all. So, I would always choose direction over writing.”

Following the success of “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat”, Milap, who has candidly discussed his four-year hiatus, has numerous projects in the pipeline including “Masti 4”, “Tera Yaar Hoon Main”, and “Dongri”, which he will be writing.

He elaborated: “Dongri as a writer. I’m the story, screenplay, and dialogue writer of that film.”

“Yeah, it feels great, and hopefully, another film with Anshul is on the horizon. We’re planning a couple of projects together. I’m optimistic that the love received by Deewaniyat extends to my upcoming films as well,” stated Milap.

Milap has been involved in notable projects such as Shootout at Wadala, Satyameva Jayate, and Marjaavaan. He began his career as a dialogue writer in 2002 with Yeh Mohabbat Hai and made his directorial debut in 2010 with Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

His latest work, the romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, along with a talented cast including Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, and Rajesh Khera.

The film narrates the tale of a powerful politician who becomes infatuated with a strong-willed superstar, leading to a passionate romance that spirals into a perilous game of obsession, pride, and heartbreak.

Looking ahead, his upcoming film Masti 4 is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025. The film features Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, and Riteish Deshmukh.

Produced by Waveband Production and Zed Studios, in collaboration with Maruti International and Balaji Telefilms, Masti 4 is helmed by A. Jhunjhunwala and Shikha Karan Ahluwalia (Waveband Production), alongside Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria (Maruti International), and Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Motion Pictures).

The Masti franchise, celebrated for its comedic timing and chemistry among the leads, has cultivated a loyal fan base over time. With the original cast reuniting after nearly a decade, the fourth installment is anticipated to be one of the most awaited comedies of 2025.

The inaugural Masti was launched in 2004 and featured the trio alongside Genelia D'Souza, Tara Sharma, and Amrita Rao. Notably, it also included Ajay Devgn and Lara Dutta in significant roles.
