Labeling the event as a historic milestone for Mizoram, the Governor remarked that unveiling the Tricolour on Christmas Eve imbued the occasion with deeper significance, symbolizing harmony, hope, and unity among the populace.

Home Minister K. Sapdanga addressed the attendees, emphasizing that the National Flag embodies unity, patriotism, selfless sacrifice, and the aspiration for a brighter future.
He noted that the Tricolour evokes memories of India's freedom struggle and instills a profound love for the nation, with the towering flag further enhancing patriotic feelings.
Major General Ashim Kohli, Chief Executive Officer of the Flag Foundation of India, also spoke, while Naveen Jindal, Chairman of the Foundation, shared a brief message via video conference. Brigadier Pushpendar Sorayan, Deputy Inspector General of Headquarters 23 Sector Assam Rifles, expressed gratitude to all involved in these solemn initiatives.
Other notable attendees included Major General Suresh Bhambhu, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East), Vanlalmawia, Secretary of the Home Department, alongside various senior civil and military officials, ex-servicemen, local residents, and school children.
