Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 27 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Monday that the village of Mustafabad will be officially renamed Kabirdham.
During his visit to the Kabirdham Ashram in Lakhimpur Kheri's Mustafabad, CM Yogi participated in the three-day Prakatotsav program honoring Sant Asang Dev Maharaj.
Speaking to a large audience, he emphasized that since 2014, increased funding has been allocated for the enhancement of all religious sites, contrasting the previous focus on graveyards.
“Be it Kashi, Ayodhya, Kushinagar, Naimisharanya, Shuktirth, Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, Gokul, Baldev, or Govardhan, development funds have been dispatched there. Previously, this funding was misappropriated for constructing boundaries around 'kabristans'. Upon learning of this village named Mustafabad, I inquired about its Muslim population and was informed that not a single Muslim resides here. Hence, I proposed its renaming to Kabirdham,” stated the Chief Minister.
CM Yogi also reflected on India's evolution over the past decade, saying, “In the last 11 years, you must have witnessed significant changes. Prior to 2014, there were doubts surrounding India’s future, despite it being the world’s second-most populous nation. Corruption was rampant, and access to governance and public services was often obstructed. Faith was under continuous threat, and dishonesty was rampant.”
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, CM Yogi asserted that since 2014, India has undergone a remarkable transformation, positioning itself to rank just behind the US and China in economic prowess.
“In 2014, a true son of Bharat Mata rose to leadership as PM Narendra Modi assumed command. Since then, the nation's trajectory has been upward. Today, there are no questions regarding India’s identity or recognition. India has ascended to become the world’s fourth-largest economy, soon to be the third-largest, trailing only the US and China,” he concluded.
