Chennai, Jan 4 (NationPress) Actress Nadiya, revered by audiences in both Tamil and Malayalam cinema, expressed her heartfelt emotions via a post celebrating the 40th anniversary of her debut Malayalam film, Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu.
This film, a timeless classic, was helmed by the renowned director Fazil, who is also the father of actor Fahadh Faasil. Upon its release, it became a monumental success, screening for over 200 days. The Malayalam cast included Nadiya Moidu, Padmini, and Mohanlal.
The film's success led to a Tamil remake titled Poove Poochoodava, which also thrived at the box office. In this version, Nadiya Moidu and Padmini reprised their roles, with S Ve Shekhar stepping into Mohanlal’s shoes. This film is celebrated as a cult classic in both languages.
